Chatbot Settings
Configure AI assistants without exposing them on the wrong package
Chatbot Settings controls guest/planner assistant behavior where enabled. The important rule is that hiding a chatbot in the UI is not enough; the assistant should only be available for the correct package and only when the couple/planner has enabled it.

What to configure
| Setting | Purpose |
| Guest assistant | Answers guest-facing questions using approved event information. |
| Planner assistant | Helps the couple/planner navigate planning data and next steps. |
| Enable/disable toggle | Controls whether the assistant is available at all. |
| Package access | Prevents free/base sites from using chatbot behavior if not included. |
| Knowledge source | Should be based on current site information, not stale placeholder content. |
Safe setup workflow
- Confirm the selected package includes chatbots.
- Enable only the assistant types intended for that couple.
- Test as a guest and as planner.
- Ask questions about RSVP, schedule, lodging, registry, and special events.
- Disable if responses are stale, too broad, or exposing hidden/private planning data.
Do not do this
- If chatbot appears on a site where it should not, turn it off in Chatbot Settings and open a support ticket if it still appears.
- Do not include private planner-only notes in guest answers.
- Do not duplicate chatbot naming in setup if settings already live here.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Fix |
| Chatbot appears on free site | Check the selected package, Chatbot Settings, and Site Settings. Open a support ticket if it still appears after saving. |
| Answers old details | Check site state and current event details. |
| Guest sees private info | Review assistant prompt/data scope and special-event visibility. |
| Cancel/exit missing | Ensure the chat flow has a visible way to stop or exit multi-step prompts. |
