Chatbot Settings Help

Chatbot Settings

Configure AI assistants without exposing them on the wrong package

Chatbot Settings controls guest/planner assistant behavior where enabled. The important rule is that hiding a chatbot in the UI is not enough; the assistant should only be available for the correct package and only when the couple/planner has enabled it.

What to configure

SettingPurpose
Guest assistantAnswers guest-facing questions using approved event information.
Planner assistantHelps the couple/planner navigate planning data and next steps.
Enable/disable toggleControls whether the assistant is available at all.
Package accessPrevents free/base sites from using chatbot behavior if not included.
Knowledge sourceShould be based on current site information, not stale placeholder content.

Safe setup workflow

  1. Confirm the selected package includes chatbots.
  2. Enable only the assistant types intended for that couple.
  3. Test as a guest and as planner.
  4. Ask questions about RSVP, schedule, lodging, registry, and special events.
  5. Disable if responses are stale, too broad, or exposing hidden/private planning data.

Do not do this

  • If chatbot appears on a site where it should not, turn it off in Chatbot Settings and open a support ticket if it still appears.
  • Do not include private planner-only notes in guest answers.
  • Do not duplicate chatbot naming in setup if settings already live here.
