Before sending guest messages

  1. Confirm phone numbers in Manage Guests.
  2. Confirm opt-in/legal/compliance requirements for SMS are handled before production use.
  3. Send a test to yourself.
  4. Keep messages short and specific.
  5. Avoid sending late-night or repeated messages unless urgent.

Good message types

  • RSVP deadline reminder.
  • Schedule change.
  • Shuttle departure reminder.
  • Hotel block deadline.
  • Wedding day media upload instructions.
  • Table assignment or schedule keyword instructions when that feature is enabled.

SMS caution

Production readiness matters
SMS should not be treated as just another UI toggle. Before sending guest texts, confirm the sending number is active, guest phone numbers look correct, the message includes clear opt-out language, and a small test message delivers successfully.
