RSVP & Guest Access

Control what guests can see and when they can respond

RSVP and access settings determine whether guests can submit responses, whether the guest portal shows editable forms or read-only summaries, and which guest-only sections unlock after RSVP.

RSVP modes Guest portal Read-only states

Current access model

ModeGuest behavior
OpenGuests can respond or update allowed RSVP fields.
Pending / previewPlanner can test guest pages without fully opening the RSVP period.
ClosedGuest portal should show read-only RSVP, special-event, and lodging summaries with instructions to contact the couple for changes.
Wedding week/dayGuest-facing planning content should favor schedule, lodging, table, media, and day-of information over editing.

Before opening RSVP

  1. Confirm Site Settings has the correct RSVP mode and deadline.
  2. Confirm guest names and households in Manage Guests.
  3. Confirm meal options and icons are saved and persist after refresh.
  4. Confirm special events are configured and only visible to invited guests.
  5. Test a known guest login from desktop and mobile.
